Elk River Falls
A kind old gentleman who grew up here in the mountains first showed me how to get to Elk River Falls about 8 years ago. Now there are big signs on the road and many people are showing up there. I still consider it to be my favorite swimming hole.

It's not pretty, but it's me. Two of my friends and I at the base of the falls.
It's not easy to get there with the current from the falls.
My brother-in-law at the top. No, he's not really slideing off the falls, and he's not going to jump either.
Some people do jump from here, and some have died. I personally know one girl who broke her hip jumping off this. Not a good idea.
